ADHD & Autism Assessments

Comprehensive, neurodiversity-affirming assessments for adults seeking clarity and understanding

Soumya Psychology provides comprehensive psychological assessments for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) for adults aged 18 years and over.

Assessments are neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and collaborative. The focus is on developing a clear, respectful understanding of each individual's lived experience, strengths, challenges, and support needs across work, study, relationships, and wellbeing.

Adults often seek assessment after years of uncertainty or feeling misunderstood. You do not need to be certain before enquiring — assessment begins with exploration and understanding.

You may be seeking documentation for:

Note: Self-referrals and GP referrals are accepted. Assessments are for adults only; children and adolescents are not assessed at this time.

Assessment Process

Each assessment is individualised; however, the process generally includes the following stages:

1

Initial Consultation & Suitability Review

A first appointment to explore current concerns, developmental history, mental health background, and goals for assessment. This session determines whether an ADHD assessment, Autism assessment, or combined assessment is most appropriate.

Clear information about the recommended assessment pathway is provided before proceeding.

2

Assessment Sessions

Assessment sessions may include:

  • In-depth clinical interviews
  • Exploration of childhood and adult functioning
  • Standardised questionnaires and rating scales
  • Assessment of executive functioning, emotional regulation, sensory experiences, and social patterns
  • Collateral information from a partner or family member (with consent), where helpful

Where ADHD and Autism features overlap, both may be explored concurrently.

3

Comprehensive Psychological Report

Following assessment sessions, a detailed written psychological report is prepared. Reports typically include:

  • Diagnostic conclusions (where criteria are met)
  • Clear explanation of findings in accessible language
  • Identification of individual strengths and challenges
  • Practical recommendations for support, therapy, workplace or study adjustments
4

Feedback Session

A dedicated feedback appointment is offered to:

  • Discuss findings in depth
  • Answer questions
  • Explore next steps and support options

Timeframes

The full assessment process typically occurs over several weeks. Timeframes vary depending on:

  • Complexity of presentation
  • Whether ADHD, Autism, or a combined assessment is undertaken
  • Availability of collateral information

Indicative timeframes are discussed at the time of booking.

Fees

Assessment fees reflect the time required for clinical interviews, standardised measures, scoring and interpretation, diagnostic formulation, report writing, and feedback.

Assessments are offered as structured packages, rather than single sessions.

Adult Autism (ASD) Assessment from $1,950
Combined ADHD & Autism Assessment from $2,750
